When we step out of our comfort zone, we step into God’s comfort zone.
When your life is done, do you want to be known as the one who was paralyzed with fear? Or do you want to be one who loves the rush of the unknown? At some point, we have to ask ourselves this most important question:
“How long will I allow my fears to keep
me from God’s best plan for my life?”
And hopefully, at some point, you will speak to your fears, confront your fears, and run towards your fears… in Jesus’ name. It’s how faith works.
God puts a holy desire in our hearts, but we have to step out of our own comfort zone, and into His comfort zone. We have to take the first step of faith! When we do what seems so scary, we find Jesus was with us the whole time. It wasn’t nearly as scary as we thought.
Let’s change the way we think. Instead of listening to our fears, let’s train our ears to listen to the Holy Spirit. In fact, there is no other place in the entire Bible where God repeats something to all seven churches:
“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Revelation 2:29 NKJV
To ‘push the boundaries’ means to go beyond what is established or expected. It means to embrace new frontiers…to be trailblazers. That’s who the Holy Spirit is… a trailblazer. He goes where others are afraid. He convicts hearts of their sinfulness. He is not intimidated.
And He invites us to join Him in His world-changing ‘Great Co-mission’. Next to your own salvation, this is the greatest adventure and opportunity you will ever have on earth!
What is God saying to you? Just do it.
