I once saw a tattoo on a man’s arm that said “Trust No One!”

I told him this creed would insist he never do anything ever again that requires him to trust anyone: like driving a car, eating in a restaurant, or getting married.

Our whole culture is built upon trust. And this ability to trust is only from God. He gives us the courage to believe again, even after being hurt. He regrows trust in our spirit through His Spirit that lives within us.

John 3:16 is the world’s most famous verse about trust:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

To ‘believe’ means ‘to trust in, cling to, and rely upon’. When we choose to trust God, His peace and joy is released in our life. It happened when you prayed to received Jesus as your Savior, and it happens every day as we choose to believe.

“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 NLT

So what do you say? Who else is worthy of our total trust than our personal Creator?
