You’ve been drafted by the King of the Universe to serve in His army.

Yesterday, I took my grandson bowling. Between games, I walked over to the front desk and shared my One Minute Witness with an 18-year-old employee. He listened intently. When I finished, he gladly prayed to give his life to Jesus.

Then he told me something surprising: he had only been to church twice in his entire life. One of those times was at the church I attend—and he loved it!

How exciting is that?

Here’s what I’m continually discovering: when we are willing to share our faith, God then directs us to people He is already working on. He prepares hearts before we ever arrive. It’s like having a divine GPS, guiding us to those who are ready to hear about Jesus.

And what an incredible privilege that is!

Think about it. The God who created galaxies, formed the oceans, and holds the universe together has chosen ordinary people, like you and me, to represent Him. He could have written the gospel in the clouds. He could have sent angels to every neighborhood. Instead, He chose us.

Why?

Because we are living proof of His grace. We are His trophies of mercy. We have a story of a life transformed by Jesus.

This is the great commission He gave every believer:

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’ Amen.” Matthew 28:18-20 NKJV

Did you catch that?

Jesus began by declaring that all authority belongs to Him. Not some authority. Not most authority. All authority in heaven and on earth.

Then He immediately commissioned His followers to go.

We don’t represent Jesus because we’re perfect. We represent Him because He chose us. We don’t go in our own strength. We go in His authority. We don’t carry our message. We carry His message.

King Jesus has deputized us to offer His forgiveness, hope, and eternal life to a hurting world. And He didn’t send us alone. He promised, “I am with you always.”

So don’t underestimate the power of your testimony. Don’t assume people aren’t interested. Don’t let fear keep you silent.

What a privilege. What a mission. What a King.
