God’s favorite perfume is the smell of Christ in the midst of sinners!

When Minneapolis, Minnesota had riots over the killing of George Floyd, my friend, pastor Mike Smith, went almost daily to the center of the riots. There he talked with the people, offered to pray for peace with them, and asked if he could share the best thing of his life with them. Most listened, and many got saved! Why?

God loves the smell of believers speaking

the truth in love to unbelievers.

“For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.” II Corinthians 2:15 NKJV

You see, today many people are being saved. They aren’t saved yet, but they are well on their way. The average person hears the gospel of Jesus seven times before they say ‘yes’ to Jesus. They are being saved!

And we get to be a part of their salvation process. When we share the good things God has done for us, we get to bump them one step closer to a relationship with Jesus.

So let’s run to the hurting, and let them smell the perfume of Jesus in us! Just pray, “Lord, I’m available today!”
