Do you worry?

Friend, do you worry? Jesus says — don’t!

Think about a man in his final hours before death. He doesn’t ask how the stock market is doing. He doesn’t reach for his favorite meal or flip on the TV. No — he calls for the people he loves. He wants to hold their hands. He wants to say goodbye.

But here’s the beautiful truth for every believer: for us, it’s never a forever goodbye.

We carry a holy, unshakeable confidence that the moment we take our last breath on earth, our very next breath will be in heaven! One glorious day, we will be reunited with the people we love — and this time, forever!

Some of us may be alive when Jesus returns to rapture His church. Many of us will step into eternity before that day comes. But here’s what I want you to hear loud and clear — either way, we WIN! Whether we are dead or alive when He comes, we will live forever with Jesus! Say that again out loud: we will live forever — fully alive! Friend, we are not dying — we are graduating from our earthly home to our eternal one!

“For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us. Christ died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns, we can live with him forever.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:9–10 NLT

That is worth celebrating every single day! So lift your eyes! Set your mind on things above — and refuse to surrender your heart to the worries of this world. Your eternal future doesn’t start when you die. It starts today.

Here’s what I know about worry: it is a thief. Worry consumes your potential. It locks your mind onto the “what ifs” and robs you of the “why nots.” Worry is, at its core, the opposite of faith — and you, beloved, were made for faith!

So let’s make a decision right now. Let’s start living our eternal life today — bold, free, and full of faith. “The just shall live by faith.” Let’s choose to die to ourselves and come fully alive to Jesus. Let’s live like we will never die — because the truth is, we won’t!
