A WINNER’S PRAYER!

Do you begin your personal letters like this?

“Paul, a bondservant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated to the gospel of God” Romans 1:1 NKJV

Probably not. But maybe we can learn something from Paul’s writings.

I was recently in Chad, Africa. As I met some key pastors for the first time, I told them, “We are here to serve you. We are nobodies. Jesus is the Somebody.”

They loved it! It reminded us all we are not competing or comparing. No egos or logos. It’s just brothers from another mother! We are all part of the eternal family of Christ! And this was refreshing. We are really one in Christ!

What if I woke up every morning and prayed like Pauls’ verse? “Good morning Lord. I am your servant, separated to love people and represent you!”

In our seminars, we challenge people for 21 days to put this prayer on their mirror:

“Lord, I’m available today!” And it works! One of our friends prayed that for 21 days, and prayed with 21 people to get saved!

God is more willing to use us than we are willing to be used by Him! So what do you have to lose?

Here’s how God’s plan really works:

We die…He lives. We surrender… He leads. We hunger…He satisfies. We pray…He answers. We trust…He leads. We takes steps of faith…He comes with us. We follow Him… He mentors us. We share our faith…He saves souls!

This ride is wild and crazy at times, but it is the greatest adventure on earth! Why wouldn’t we follow Him all day, everyday, for the rest of our lives? What could be better? We get to serve the King of the Universe! We are ambassadors to the world!

Recently I was flying in Africa. I sat next to an Ambassador from one nation representing a few other nations. I shared my One Minute Witness. I asked if he thought he was going to heaven, and he wasn’t sure. So I asked if I could take one more minute to tell him how the Bible says he could go to heaven for sure. He agreed.

So I shared the A,B,C’s: Admit I’m a sinner, Believe only Jesus can forgive me, and Confess Jesus as my Lord and leader. Then I said, “What would stop you from giving your life to Jesus today?” He respectfully replied, “Maybe at a later time.” But I said, “God says today is the day of salvation, because no one knows when they die. Could I pray with you to give your life to Jesus today? He agreed. And after prayer he said something changed inside him! I congratulated him and gave him our frostygrapes.com follow-up website.

This was so fun! And we can have this kind of fun everyday. So go ahead, be brave, and declare this each day: “Lord, I’m Available Today!” You can do it!
