“Jesus soon saw a huge crowd of people coming to look for him. Turning to Philip, he asked, “Where can we buy bread to feed all these people?” He was testing Philip, for he already knew what he was going to do.”  John 6:5-6 NLT

Jesus already knew He was about to do a great miracle of multiplying the loaves and fishes. He just wanted Philip to dream with Him!

So it is with each of us. God creates opportunities for us to partner with Him. We get to decide if we will hold His hand while taking another step of faith. When opportunity knocks, let’s answer the door!

“Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity.” Colossians 4:5 NLT

Yes, make the most of every opportunity. Don’t blow them off. Each invite is sacred. So what happened?

“Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and distributed them to the people. Afterward he did the same with the fish. And they all ate as much as they wanted.” John 6:11 NLT

Philip didn’t understand it yet, but God was preparing him for greater things. Like He is with you and I. So let’s always be students, growing in our faith.
