Here’s a topic that brings fear to many believers. But don’t be afraid.
Most evangelicals believe Christians will be raptured and taken to heaven before a great tribulation of seven years begins, or before the second half of it begins. But don’t worry. God is with you!
You see, the books of Daniel and Revelation prophesy an unholy trinity of a one-world religion, a one-world currency and and a one-world government. A man called the anti-Christ will be the leader of this unholy alliance, and will deceive nations into signing a seven year peace agreement. But halfway through he will reveal his true colors, and his hatred for Jesus and Israel. This will be the precursor to the greatest battle between good and evil, Armageddon.
“He required everyone—small and great, rich and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark on the right hand or on the forehead. And no one could buy or sell anything without that mark, which was either the name of the beast or the number representing his name.” Revelation 13:16-17 NLT
Yes, in the last days, something like a computer chip is coming where the remaining people on earth will be forced to choose between the new world order and their faith in Jesus. Perhaps some remaining are backslidden believers, who now must make a final choice. Those who choose Jesus during the great tribulation will become martyrs, forced to serve the anti-Christ, or face certain death. (Revelation 7:14)
Having said that, the technology necessary for this ‘chip’ is now here. It was foretold 2,000 years ago, and people are already using it now for other reasons. Some employees are “chipped” so there are no keys required to enter their place of employment. Others see it as something that will help avoid fraud by tying it to our bank accounts, or tracking their pet animals.
“And all the people who belong to this world worshiped the beast. They are the ones whose names were not written in the Book of Life that belongs to the Lamb who was slaughtered before the world was made.” Revelation 13:8 NLT
The chip is for unbelievers. But those serving Christ have their names written in the Book of Life! In Christ, our eternal destiny is secure.
If you are a Jesus-follower, you have heavenly protection. God has placed His Spirit in you. He will lead you into all truth. The Holy Spirit protects us from deception and all lies of the devil!
While God’s mercy still remains on this earth, let’s plunder hell and populate heaven.
