Do you know how to explain salvation to a sinner? Let’s learn right now…
Memorize these four “P’s”: God’s position, Our problem, God’s provision, and Our part. Here we go:
- God’s Position: God loves us and created us to have a relationship with Him (John 3:16).
- Our Problem: Sin separates us from God, and we cannot fix this brokenness on our own (Romans 3:23).
- God’s Provision: Jesus’ death and resurrection bridge the gap, offering forgiveness and new life (Romans 5:8).
- Our Part: We respond to Jesus by repenting, believing in Him, and following Him (Acts 2:38)
Now memorize it, and practice it with a friend. Do it again, and again. Look up the scripture references so you fully understand. Practice makes perfect.
Now pray for and look for opportunities to share your faith. After you have shared your One Minute Witness, ask them if you could share how they can get to heaven.
Then share what you just learned above. When done, ask if they understand it. If so, then ask them, “what would stop you from asking Jesus to forgive you and be your leader today?” Most of the time they will say nothing would stop them. Then ask if you can pray with them.
