Many Christians feel the end score is already settled — so what’s the urgency to evangelize?

When we see the growing evil surrounding us, we all face a decision. Either we accept the evil as unchangeable and go silent — or we rise up, curse the darkness, and pray for ways to replace it with light.

When my godly mother was in her 90s, she was shocked to see how sinful our culture had become since she was a child. She would often say with urgency, “Why doesn’t someone do something?”

YES — the world as we know it will end, with Jesus returning to rapture His church and defeat the devil and all his enemies.

NO — we are not to be silent or give up. We are called to redeem the remaining time we have on this earth, for many still need to hear the good news of Jesus!

“Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity.” Colossians 4:5 NLT

YES — sin is growing bolder. In many countries it is even illegal to share your faith publicly.

NO — We don’t give up. God’s love is still exactly what our world needs. Only Jesus can forgive our sins and change us from our DNA as sinners to saints!

“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

Ephesians 5:15–16 NKJV

YES — we are the world-changers. We are the ones called to “do something” — to pray, fast, and evangelize. Why? Because God isn’t finished yet.

“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith.”

1 John 5:4 NKJV

So God speaks the same words to us today that He spoke through Mary at the wedding when she addressed the servants:

“Whatever He says, do it.“
