Have you ever seen an opportunity to share your faith, but then took the easier route, and kept your head down? I have.

Yes, it’s easy to be bold inside the church, or when you are having your own time of devotions with God. But when you are in the real world, things don’t look or feel the same.

Here’s the key. Boldness comes from the Holy Spirit.

True love comes from the Father. Salvation comes from Jesus, the Son. Boldness comes from the Spirit. Simple, but true! And the trinity of the Father, Son and Spirit are called God. And God actively lives within you!

When you ask the Spirit to reign daily in your thoughts and actions, you are filled with fresh boldness to meet people’s needs.

For example:

• Peter privately denied the Lord three times, but later publicly preached to all the risen Christ!

• Paul was thrown in prison for his faith, but had a midnight worship service, which invited the angel to open his prison door.

• Stephen, faced with an angry mob, decided to tell them about the love of Jesus, even though he was later stoned to death for it.

• Ananias, known in heaven for his prayers, was invited by the Spirit to pray for the blind and wicked Saul, who was set apart to become God’s servant.

• And the Spirit told Philip to share his faith with a royal entourage, which included the treasurer of the Ethiopian queen, and then boldly baptized him in water after he believed.

Healings, deliverances, persecutions and enduring hardships were boldly experienced by the disciples who were once hiding for fear. What changed?

They were filled with the Spirit. Not once, but daily they boldly partnered with the Spirit.

“And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.” Acts 4:31 NKJV

And so can you. Heads up!
