National Evangelists

Each National Evangelist conducts weekly three-day festivals throughout India's most unreached villages to share the Gospel to people who have not heard. Evangelists introduce 5,000-10,000 people to Jesus as Savior each year.

National Evangelist: N. Bala Raju

In his travels to remote villages in India, N. Bala Raju has reached 19,141 decisons for Christ conducting three-day mini-festivals.

February 2010

During Febrary, Bala Raju saw 396 people make Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior during his three-day mini-festivals.

Bala Raju reports: Once again, I convey greetings from my bottom of heart to Oasis World Ministries. I am thankful to Tom Elie and Timothy Rao for their encouragement and standing before us as the backbone of our ministry.  I always feel very happy to share about what the Lord has been performing through my mini-festivals.  Space limits my ability to share all of the miracles which took place in February.

At the Sakhigopala mini-festival a 43 year old woman named Chandrakal was totally hopeless. She was very poor and had a big tumor on her neck. Without treatment, she was soon to die. Chandrakal came to the festival in agony. God heard her deep trouble and the tumor on her neck miraculously disappeared. She was very happy and danced and praised God by loudly. The crowd was amazed because they knew about her condition for eight years. As a result, Chandrakal and her elder daughter decided to follow Jesus Christ and their Lord and Savior. They attended Sunday worship prayer meeting. God’s Name has been glorified through all His miraculous deeds.

I am very glad to share the testimony of what Jesus Christ was done through my mini-festival at Salakhamba. A 38 year old man named Mohan has suffered with excessive body swelling caused by low hemoglobin believed he was near death. He attended the third day of the mini-festival and came forward for healing prayer. He stood up full of tears. Soon after I prayed, he was delivered from an evil spirit. Everyone praised God’s name together. Immediately the body swelling dissipated. As a result Mohan and his parents made Jesus their Lord and Savior and be God’s witness until their last breath. Jesus is so real and His works are so powerful. In His name only should be praised.

Wherever I conduct the mini-festival, I seek the permission from the village elder’s and political leaders and go with the elders and local pastor. The first day at Laxmipuram was very successful. Then an opposition group interrupted our second meeting. Thirty to forty people forcefully picked up our tents and shouted that everybody should run from the area or else they would throw a bomb. Everyone scattered from the meetings place. The opposition group warned me and the local pastor not to resume the meetings and said, “If you do so, you will not live on this earth.”

The next day, a few of them gathered in the church and prayed for all of them. We all felt very bad about the situation. The local pastor wondered if we should go to the police station. I said, “No, if we go, you’ll face more trouble. God will be the judge.”

Kindly pray for the local pastor and the people who attend his church.

January 2010

During January, Bala Raju saw 1,547 people make Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior during his three-day mini-festivals.

Bala Raju reports: Heartiest greetings from different areas of Orissa. During the first mini-festival, a Hindu business woman by the name of Lalitha was suffering for seven months with a debilitating headache. No medicine would relieve her pain. She visited our mini-festival and felt in her heart that Jesus, whom she had been criticizing, had not done her any wrong and realized she should no longer speak evil words against Him. Then Lalitha was inspired to hear the gospel. She gave a wonderful testimony that she, her husband, two daughters and son received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and her headache had vanished.

Narendra had been suffering from severe knee pain for a year and a half. Doctors said his only cure was to have a major operation, but  Narendra was very poor and could not afford the surgery. He grew discouraged and felt alone in his pain. Then he was befriended by one of the village believers who took him to the mini-festival. On the third day, God healed Narendra from chronic knee pain and he received the power of Jesus Christ into his life. Now Narendra and his daughter are attending the local church.

December 2009

Report from Bala Raju: I convey my heartiest Christmas greetings and happy New Year. By the grace of God I conducted a mini-festival Christmas celebration and invited political leaders, local pastors and doctors. Around 1,734 people came to worship Jesus together. Eight hundred and six people raised their hands to except Jesus Christ as their Lord and among them, 23 people were baptized immediately,

October 2009

Heartiest greetings for your support to prosper the work of God almighty and the ministry of our Lord Jesus Christ.

October 28, 2009: Miracles have occurred during every mini-festival. So many that I cannot describe them all because there is not enough time in the day to record them, but here’s a life-changing testimony which I must share.

Mr. Reddy is a shop keeper who fell on hard financial times. He and his family were thinking about suicide. Around the same time, God spoke to me about Mr. Reddy and his family and showed me that they were in their home within hearing distance of the festival. God asked me to call Mr. Reddy by name and tell him that God has hope for him and his family. When Mr. Reddy heard his name from the loud speaker and the Good News about the saving grace of Jesus Christ, he and his family came out of their house.

Mr. Reddy came to the pulpit and asked how I knew about his personal problem. Convinced that only God could have done this, Mr. Reddy and his total family came to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.

October 10, 2009: I am delighted to describe this miracle which happened at our mini-festival. The happiness of Holy Spirit came down from the heaven while we were worshipping. The people then began to dance and were released from various problems and diseases. When we lifted up our hands to worship Jesus Christ a number evil spirits left the lives of the people. God’s name be glorified through all His mighty deeds in the lives of the Non believers. I did not imagine that God could do such a great miracle in the lives of the people.

A local pastor felt very happy for the mini-festival held nearby. He said he has not seen such ministry that supports all of the denominations.

October 4, 2009: I very glad to inform the miracle which was God performed. Prakash Sahu was suffering from unbearable ear pain that kept him awake at night for six months. He attended the mini-festival. He came running to the pulpit to testify that God had healed him tremendously during prayer. He and his family of five have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ.

God’s name be exalted by all His wonderful deeds.

September 2009

A pastor had asked me to come to his village-a place of heavy opposition where no crusade had ever been held. I agreed to do a three-day mini-festival after the pastor gained police support.

On the first day, only 123 people attended, but God did a miracle! When everyone stood up to worship the Lord, the Holy Spirit came down from the heaven and delivered 16 people from destructive demonic spirits. The villagers witnessed God’s presence and news quickly spread. Over 2,326 villagers had come to the second night of the festival, and by the third night, over 1,676 people had made Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior.

In the month of September 2009 alone, I had witnessed over 3,885 people of remote villages in India make Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior. Thank you for your support!
